In 1983, he graduated with honors from the historical faculty of the Ivano-Frankivsk State Pedagogical Institute named after Vasyl Stefanyk. In 2005, the Institute of International Law and Business of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. International lawyer.

From 1986 to 1989, he studied at the graduate school of Ivan Franko Lviv State University. In 1990, he defended his candidate’s thesis. From 1989 to 1998, he worked as an assistant at the Department of Political History, an associate professor at the Department of World History, History of the Slavs, and deputy dean of the Faculty of Philology of Vasyl Stefanyk Prykarpattia National University.

From 1998 to 1999, associate professor of the Department of Theory and History of the State and Law of the National Academy of Internal Affairs. From 1999 to 2001, he headed the department of humanitarian and general legal disciplines of the Carpathian branch of the National Academy of Internal Affairs. From 2001 to 2005, vice-rector for scientific work of the Carpathian Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Member of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. From 2006 to June 2010 – the first deputy head for educational and methodological work of the Carpathian Law Institute of the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs.

Since June 2010, professor of the Department of Theory and History of the State and Law of the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs. Since January 2011, he has been a professor at the Department of International Relations.

In 2009, he defended his doctoral dissertation “The National – State Concept of Tomas Masaryk (V. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine)”.
